Murphy announced Sunday via his personal Twitter account that he'll join Vermont next season as a graduate transfer.
ANALYSIS
Murphy arrives at Vermont after a three-year stint at Northeastern. He played in only four games in 2019-20 due to an ankle injury, so he could be eligible for a medical hardship exemption in 2021-22, should he choose to apply for one. For now, Murphy will have only one year of eligibility remaining, but he'll be able to compete right away for Vermont. During his last full season at Northeastern in 2018-19, Murphy averaged 8.1 points and 3.4 boards in 19.0 minutes per game.
