2019 Tournament PreviewGonzaga sailed through the WCC yet again, its only hiccup coming in the conference tournament final to St. Mary's, which it had beaten by 48 earlier in the year. The Zags are an offensive juggernaut. Coach Mark Few and company rank first in KenPom's offensive efficiency, effective field-goal percentage and two-point field-goal percentage. The Bulldogs put up points quickly too, with the sixth-fastest average possession length in the nation. Projected NBA lottery pick Rui Hachimura (20.1 ppg, 6.6 rpg) leads a group of three returning starters from last year's team that reached the NCAA title game. Gonzaga gets a major boost on the glass from 6-8 junior Brandon Clarke (16.5 ppg, 8.4 rpg), and the backcourt is led by senior Josh Perkins (11.0 ppg, 6.5 apg), who shoots 36.8 percent from long range. The return of Killian Tillie (foot), who averaged 12.9 points and 5.9 boards a season ago, makes the Zags even more formidable. Gonzaga, who beat Duke in Maui in November, has the perfect pairing of experience and talent to make another run at the national title.
