2026 Tournament PreviewGonzaga enters this year's tournament ranked sixth in the NET and tenth on KenPom, with a resume built on non-conference wins over tournament teams Alabama, Kentucky and UCLA. However, this year's team has had its share of adversity. Various injuries, eligibility issues and a point-guard timeshare has led to Mark Few using 13 different starting lineups. No injury has been more impactful than forward Braden Huff (17.8 ppg, 5.6 rpg), who went down in early-January with a knee issue and is a question mark for the tournament. The Zags still have WCC Player of the Year Graham Ike as an anchor down low, who has posted career highs in scoring (19.7 ppg) and rebounding (8.3 rpg) in his fifth collegiate season. He leads a unit that ranks 10th in KenPom's defensive efficiency and 10th in defensive rebounding rate. The main concerns are a Quad 3 loss -- the only team in the NET top-20 to have one -- and the fact that Gonzaga was blown out by 40 against No. 1 seed Michigan back in November. This shows struggles against elite teams and susceptibility to a letdown, but if Huff returns, the outlook improves tremendously.
