The veteran's reception and receiving yardage totals were season bests. Hazelton took on a smaller role this season than in his first Eskimos campaign in 2017, as he saw tallied 20 fewer receptions, 363 fewer receiving yards and three less touchdowns despite only playing one less game. Edmonton has an unquestioned top pass-catching trio of D'haquille Williams, Bryant Mitchell and Derel Walker (knee) heading into 2019, so it remains to be seen if Hazelton will be on the roster come next season.
