Lawler brought in five of seven targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in the Blue Bombers' 31-1 win over the Redblacks on Friday.
Lawler's return from a two-game absence due to an undisclosed injury was a successful one, as he co-led the team in receptions while setting the pace in both targets and yards. The 25-year-old is in his first CFL campaign and had totaled just three receptions (on seven targets) for 57 yards during his first two games, so Friday's output was replete with career bests for the California product. Lawler was able to show off his speed on his 54-yard touchdown, as 30 of those yards came from him after the catch. He'll look to continue rising in Winnipeg's pass-catching ranks against the Tiger-Cats in Week 7.
