Punt return TD in first game

Alford was not targeted in the passing game but returned four punts for 112 yards and a touchdown and ran back two kickoffs for 48 yards in the Alouettes' 21-17 win over the Stampeders on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
With the Alouettes down 17-10 and coming up with a defensive stop on the Stampeders' first second-half possession, Alford fielded a punt and raced up the left sideline for a nifty 85-yard touchdown scamper. The 27-year-old broke into the CFL last season with the Argonauts and was minimally involved, bringing in seven of 13 targets for 57 yards, rushing once for 10 yards, returning five punts for seven yards, and running back eight kickoffs for 170 yards. He may have a hard time cracking the receiver/slotback rotation on a deep Montreal offense, but he clearly could be factor on special teams moving forward.
