Rysen John
Wide ReceiverWR
Second WR taken by Calgary
April 30, 2020
The Stampeders selected John in the third round of the 2020 CFL Draft, 21st overall.
John has already reportedly signed with the Giants in the NFL as an undrafted free agent, but Calgary nonetheless deemed the Vancouver native worthy of investing second-round capital. The 6-foot-7 receiver is coming off an impressive final season at SFU in which he notched 53 catches for 861 yards and 10 touchdowns. The second wideout chosen by the Stampeders in the 2020 Draft, after Trivel Pinto, John boasts the size and skillset to serve as an immediate exploiter of matchups for Calgary's offense.
