RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra caught eight passes for 156 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 39-32 win over the Blue Bombers in the Western Semi-Final.

The second-year receiver had a couple of quiet performances at the end of the regular season once Adarius Bowman was 100 percent again, but the two both came up huge to begin the playoffs. Zylstra figures to see plenty of targets once again next Sunday in Calgary as Mike Reilly tries to out-duel Bo Levi Mitchell and advance Edmonton to the Grey Cup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra logged three receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 29-20 win over the Stampeders.

Although he saw his reception total drop from its typical levels, Zylstra still stung the Stampeders for a third 100-yard performance in as many meetings this season. Zylstra took a 40-yard pass from Mike Reilly another 37 yards to the house in the third quarter, giving the Eskimos a 14-6 lead at the time. The speedy 24-year-old has eclipsed 100 receiving yards in four of his last five contests and he's now racked up 97 catches for 1,615 yards and five scores through 15 games. He'll look to play a pivotal part once again when Edmonton tries to secure a West Division title in a Week 20 matchup versus the second-place Roughriders.

October 15, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra caught nine passes for 147 yards in Saturday's 30-27 win over the Argos.

He now leads the the league with 1,482 receiving yards and sits tied for third in catches with 91. Zylstra's emergence in his second CFL season has pushed Adarius Bowman into a secondary role, and the 24-year-old should remain a fixture in the Edmonton offense for many years to come.

October 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra caught seven passes for 201 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 42-24 win over the Alouettes.

It's the eighth time this season Zylstra has hit for triple digits in receiving yards, as the second-year CFL player continues his breakout campaign. Mike Reilly's top target should continue seeing plenty of looks down the stretch as Edmonton tries to secure a playoff spot.

October 1, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra posted nine receptions for 152 yards, compiled 18 yards on three punt returns and ran back a missed field goal for 26 yards in Saturday's 28-19 loss to the Blue Bombers.

The explosive playmaker now has eclipsed the century mark in three of the last four games and has 31 receptions over that entire span. Zylstra and Derel Walker continue to serve as QB Mike Reilly's top targets, with the former arguably the No. 1 overall option. With his significant target share, Zylstra makes for an excellent fantasy asset once again in a Week 16 tilt versus the vulnerable Alouettes secondary.

September 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra totaled three receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown and added 15 yards on one punt return in Saturday's 34-26 loss to the Argonauts.

Zylstra tallied his second score in the last three games, a pretty over-the-shoulder 46-yard grab, while posting a season-best 22.0-yard average on his trio of receptions. Unlike last week, however, Zylstra's opportunities did seem to be somewhat affected by the presence of Derel Walker, who logged eight catches for the second straight week. The upcoming bye week in Week 14 should give the Eskimos an opportunity to further integrate its plethora of a talented wideouts into the offense, which could result in a boost in Zylstra's production in a potential Week 15 shootout against the Blue Bombers.

September 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra notched 10 receptions for 187 yards in Saturday's 25-22 loss to the Stamps.

Zylstra played a pivotal role in Mike Reilly's 461-yard effort, posting his second-longest catch of the season (67 yards) and his best receiving yardage total. The 24-year-old now has 19 receptions for 314 yards and a touchdown in the last two contests and appears to have supplanted Adarius Bowman as the top option in the Eskimos' passing attack. The return of Derel Walker may eat into some of Zylstra's targets, but at least for Saturday, that wasn't the case at all. Zylstra will look to build on his spectacular effort versus the Argos in Week 13.

September 4, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra caught nine passes for 127 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 39-18 loss to the Stampeders.

Despite the fact that Adarius Bowman was back in the lineup, Zylstra was still Edmonton's leading receiver. It's the fifth time this season the 24-year-old has caught at least seven passes and topped 100 receiving yards in a game.

August 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra (undisclosed) posted five receptions for 65 yards in Friday's 54-31 loss to the Riders.

Zylstra had missed the last two full games after exiting a Week 7 matchup against the Ti-Cats early with his undisclosed injury. The dynamic 24-year-old's solid effort was one of the few bright spots on an otherwise dismal night for the Eskimos, as it appears that Zylstra is back to full health. He'd served as one of the offense's top playmakers prior to his recent absence, so he's certainly worth of fantasy consideration each week moving forward. He'll shoot for his fourth 100-yard game of the season in Week 11 against the Stamps.

August 24, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra (undisclosed) will play in Friday's game against the Roughriders.

After missing two straight games with an undisclosed injury, Zylstra will make his return to the field this week. It doesn't come as much of a surprise, however, since he returned to practice this week. Zylstra will assume his role as the team's top slotback.

August 21, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra (undisclosed) was a participant in Monday's practice, Gerry Moddejonge of the Edmonton Journal reports.

Zylstra has missed the last two games with an injury he suffered in Week 7, though the fact that he's back on the practice field is a good sign for a potential return later in the week. The Eskimos take on the Roughriders this Friday, meaning Zylstra will have another four days of rest and recovery before potentially making his return. Once cleared, Zylstra should move back into the top slotback spot.

August 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra (undisclosed) will not play Thursday against the Blue Bombers.

Zylstra will miss his second game in a row due to the injury he suffered in Week 7. It remains to be seen if he will miss any further action, but he will have over a week of recovery time before the Eskimos' Week 10 matchup with the Roughriders next Friday. With Zylstra out this week, Edmonton will utilize the trio of D'haquille Williams, Bryant Mitchell, and Cory Watson as its starting slotbacks against Winnipeg.

August 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra (undisclosed) did not take part in Monday's practice, according to Gerry Moddejonge of the Edmonton Sun.

Zylstra missed last week's game against the Redblacks due to his setback, and with him still sidelined Monday, it could be difficult for him to play in Week 9 with the Eskimos playing Thursday. More details regarding Zylstra's status for this week should be available in the next couple days.

August 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra (undisclosed) will not play in Thursday's game against the Redblacks.

Zylstra was removed early from Edmonton's Week 7 matchup with the Tiger-Cats for an unspecified reason, and whatever setback he is dealing with will prevent him from taking the field this week. With Zylstra out, Shamawd Chambers will come off the injured list and jump right into the Eskimos' starting lineup.

August 7, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra (undisclosed) was held out of Monday's practice, Dave Campbell of Inside Sports reports.

Zylstra originally suffered the injury during Friday's game against the Tiger-Cats, so it appears having the weekend off wasn't enough time for him to make a full recovery. He can tentatively be considered questionable for Thursday's matchup with the Redblacks, although his practice availability over the next two days should be telling. The Eskimos have yet to provide an update on the severity of the injury.

August 4, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra will not return to Friday's game against the Tiger-Cats due to an undisclosed injury, Eskimos' sideline reporter Brenden Ullrich reports.

The severity of Zylstra's injury is unknown at this time, but it is severe enough to keep him sidelined for the remainder of the game. He tallied 21 yards on three catches before exiting the game. His status for Thursday's matchup against the Blue Bombers is unknown at this time.

July 29, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra caught seven passes for 107 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 37-26 win over the Lions.

Three different Edmonton receivers broke the century mark in this one, as Mike Reilly continues to prove he can survive and thrive without Adarius Bowman (hamstring). Zylstra now has 516 receiving yards through five games, and the 24-year-old continues to emerge as one of the breakout stars of the 2017 season.

July 21, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra totaled 113 yards on eight receptions in Thursday's 31-28 win over the Ti-Cats.

Unsurprisingly, Zylstra stepped up and led the Eskimos in both receptions and yards on a night when Adarius Bowman (hamstring) was sidelined. The emerging wideout did most of his damage during Edmonton's second-half surge and now has 100-yard efforts in three of the first four games of the season, including consecutive contests. With only one game under seven receptions thus far -- and the news that Bowman will hit the six-game injured list -- Zylstra becomes a near must-play each week for the foreseeable future.

July 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra totaled 108 yards on 10 receptions in Friday's 23-21 win over the Redblacks.

Zylstra was quiet in Week 2 versus the Als after a spectacular seven-reception, 152-yard effort in the opener versus the Lions, but he bounced back in Week 4 to lead all receivers in both catches and yardage. The emerging wideout has actually been considerably more productive than star receiver Adarius Bowman over the season's first three weeks, although the latter's track record and talent will naturally keep him an integral part of the offense as well. However, Zylstra has shown impressive ability after the catch and is averaging a solid 14.1 yards per reception, and he's already matched the two 100-yard efforts he generated over eight contests in 2016. Zylstra will look to extend his productive start when the Eskimos do battle with the Ti-Cats in Week 5.

June 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra totaled 152 yards on seven receptions in Saturday's 30-27 win over the Lions.

Zylstra served notice that the Eskimos offense could potentially be just as lethal as last season despite Derel Walker's departure, putting together the third 100-yard regular-season receiving effort of his career. The 24-year-old provided flashes of this type of dominant play in the latter stages of the 2016 campaign, and given his performance Saturday, he clearly appears capable of filling a starting role in Edmonton's high-powered attack. Zylstra also showed a flair for the dramatic in the victory, as his 76-yard reception in the waning seconds set up the Eskimos for Sean Whyte's game-winning field goal. Considering Mike Reilly's prolific arm and the Concordia College product's ability to get downfield, Zylstra certainly projects to be a potent DFS option this season.

June 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra was held out of the Eskimos' second preseason game for precautionary reasons, according to the Edmonton Journal.

Head coach Jason Maas decided to keep Zylstra on the sideline for the Eskimos' preseason finale to prevent him from getting injured prior to Week 1. Zylstra's production picked up toward the end of last season and he tallied 103 receiving yards in Edmonton's first preseason game, so he will be one of, if not the, top option to see more targets with former teammate Derel Walker -- along with the 1,589 yards he racked up in 2016 -- giving the NFL a shot.

November 20, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra totaled 83 yards on three receptions in Sunday's 35-23 Eastern Finals loss to the Redblacks, while also totaling 11 yards on five punt returns.

Zylstra checked in second on the Eskimos to Derel Walker in both receptions and receiving yardage, putting together a solid performance that nevertheless fell short of the quality of efforts he generated over his last four games of the regular season. The 23-year-old had eclipsed the 100-yard mark twice over that span, while also scoring twice. Although the Eskimos fell short of their Grey Cup goal, they'll enter next season with an impressive trio of pass catchers in Zylstra, Walker and veteran slotback Adarius Bowman.

October 29, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra totaled 86 yards on six catches in Friday's 29-26 win over the Ti-Cats.

Zylstra continued his multi-week rise with a team-leading effort in receiving yardage in Week 19, and he's now totaled 17 receptions for 245 yards over the last three games. While Adarius Bowman and Derel Walker continue to be prominent presences in the Eskimos' passing attack, Zylstra has definitively carved out a role for himself as well.

October 23, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra totaled 55 yards on five receptions in Saturday's 32-25 loss to the Lions.

Zylstra made his presence felt for the second straight week, checking in second in receptions and yards on the Eskimos. The 23-year-old now has 19 catches in only four games this season, as he's quickly become a trusted target for Mike Reilly in the Eskimos' high-octane passing attack. Zylstra notably notched as many catches as Derel Walker on Saturday, after tallying the second-most receptions on the team in Week 17 as well.

October 10, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra tallied 104 yards and a touchdown on six receptions in Monday's 40-20 victory over the Als.

The Concordia College product had only amassed 77 yards on eight catches coming in to Monday, so his output, which was second in yardage only to that of Adarius Bowman's on the Eskimos, was certainly a surprise. Zylstra now has at least four catches in each of the three games he's played in this season and his touchdown catch Monday was the first of his career. While Adarius Bowman and Derel Walker remain Mike Reilly's most trusted and highest-upside targets, Zylstra is clearly carving out a place for himself in Edmonton's high-octane passing attack.

October 10, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zylstra is listed on the Eskimos' depth chart for Monday's game against the Alouettes.

Zylstra has appeared in three games, and hauled in eight passes for 77 yards in his first season in the CFL.
