Jennings completed just six of 15 passes for 45 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in the Redblacks' 31-1 loss to the Blue Bombers on Friday. He also rushed once for two yards.
Jennings got the spot start in place of Dominique Davis (undisclosed), but matters got off on the wrong foot and never improved. The veteran signal-caller threw a pick-six on his one interception, with the Blue Bombers' Winston Rose taking the ball back 71 yards into the end zone with 6:28 remaining in the first quarter. Jennings ultimately only played three quarters before being removed in favor of Will Arndt with the game already well in Winnipeg's hands. It remains to be seen if Davis is ready to suit up for a Week 7 matchup against the Stampeders next Thursday, but if he remains sidelined, there may be a legitimate question as to which backup signal-caller gets the starting nod.
