RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams logged two catches for 51 yards in the Blue Bombers' 56-10 win over the Alouettes on Friday. He also completed a 26-yard touchdown on his one pass attempt.

Adams' totals were relatively modest for the second time in as many weeks to open the season, but the Bombers were able to take their foot of the gas in the second half, which limited his opportunities. He also generated some extra fantasy production through rather unlikely means, taking a lateral from Chris Streveler and heaving it 26 yards downfield to Andrew Harris for a touchdown. Adams remains a potent downfield weapon, and it's likely he continues to build his rapport with rookie signal caller Chris Streveler with each successive game. He'll look to put together his first explosive outing of the season against the Ti-Cats in Week 3.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams logged three receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown in the Blue Bombers' 33-30 loss to the Eskimos on Thursday.

Adams is naturally still developing rapport with interim rookie starting quarterback Chris Streveler, but he got the relationship off on solid footing by finding the end zone Thursday. The sixth-year veteran is expected to play an unquestioned No. 1 wide receiver role this season after having posted career bests in receptions (76), receiving yardage (1,120) and touchdowns (seven) in 2017. Naturally, the fact that he won't have veteran Matt Nichols (knee) under center for the first several weeks of the season may dampen Adams' overall production to an extent, but he'll have an opportunity to develop a rapport with the versatile Streveler, who's capable of extending plays with his legs.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams will start at wide receiver in Thursday's season opener against the Eskimos.

Adams led the Blue Bombers with 1,120 receiving yards last season, so it comes as no surprise that he will open the 2018 campaign in a starting role. Adams played in just 15 regular-season games a year ago, so even bigger things could be in store if he has a healthy season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams (shoulder) will not play in the Western Semi-Final against Edmonton on Sunday.

Although it was already trending this way, it is now official that Adams will have to sit out the Blue Bombers' home playoff game with the shoulder injury he suffered four weeks ago. In his place, L'Damian Washington and Julian Feoli-Gudino will likely comprise the starting wide receivers for Sunday's tilt, while Drew Wolitarsky is in line for a bigger role.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams (upper body) is not expected to play in Sunday's Western Semi-Final, but could take the field if the Blue Bombers advance, Darrin Bauming of TSN Radio 1290 reports.

Adams will likely remain sidelined with the injury he suffered in Week 17, but he was present at Wednesday's practice, and head coach Mike O'Shea did not rule him out for the entire postseason when asked. L'Damian Washington and Julian Feoli-Gudino started at wide receiver the last three weeks with Adams out, making them the favorites to occupy those spots again in Winnipeg's playoff opener.

November 2, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams (upper body) will not be in action Friday against the Stampeders.

Adams suffered the upper-body injury Oct. 14 against the Lions, and has been on the shelf since, with no clear timetable for his return. Following the game, coach Mike O'Shea stated that he wasn't sure if Adams would be ready for the playoffs -- which start next Sunday -- but hasn't discussed the wideout's status in recent weeks. There will likely be an update on Adams' condition at some point next week.

October 17, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Head coach Mike O'Shea said Adams (upper body) won't be available for a number of weeks, Ed Tait of reports.

This likely spells the end of the regular season for Adams, though he still has a chance to return for the playoffs. "That might be a little early. I'm not sure," O'Shea said when asked about Adams' chances of being ready for the playoffs. "I don't want to count him out, though." With Adams out, look for the Blue Bombers to turn to Matt Coates and Drew Wolitarsky in the passing game.

October 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams will miss the remainder of Saturday's game against British Columbia due to an upper-body injury.

Adams reportedly took a hard hit during Saturday's contest, causing him some discomfort as he went to the sidelines. The team should update his status in the coming days and a potential timetable ahead of next week's tilt versus Toronto.

October 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams exited Saturday's game after taking a shot in the first quarter of Saturday's game against British Columbia,Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Adams was dealing with an undisclosed issue at some point during the week, but this appears to be related to a hard hit more than anything else. He didn't have his helmet on the sidelines, so it's possible his day is done. If so, his next chance to return arrives next Saturday against Toronto.

October 13, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams (undisclosed) is listed atop the depth chart for Saturday's game against the Lions.

Although he was limited during Thursday's practice, it appears that Adams will be good to go for Saturday's affair. There hasn't been any sort of update on his status at this point, so there's a chance that Adams will see less action than usual this weekend.

October 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams was limited at Thursday's practice, Ted Wyman of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

It's not clear why Adams was slowed Thursday, but it leaves his availability for Saturday's matchup with the Lions uncertain. Expect his status to be updated when more details are released.

October 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams notched eight receptions for 94 yards and completed a 44-yard pass on his only attempt in Friday's 30-13 loss to the Tiger-Cats.

Facing a 13-0 deficit early in the second quarter, the Blue Bombers dug into their bag of tricks and dialed up a direct snap to Adams, who hit RB Andrew Harris down the seam for a 44-yard gain. Adams also paced Winnipeg wideouts in receptions and receiving yards, equaling a season high in catches in the process. The 27-year-old has become a major component of the Bombers passing attack, posting at least five receptions in all but three contests thus far this season. He'll look to excel once again versus the Lions in Week 17.

October 1, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams posted two receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 28-19 win over the Eskimos.

Adams' 13-yard scoring reception on the first play of the fourth quarter was his second touchdown in as many games. The 27-year-old's reception total was actually his lowest figure in a game this season, but his yardage tally was enough to vault him over the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his five-year career. Adams will continue to serve as an especially important target for QB Matt Nichols as long Weston Dressler (upper body) remains sidelined, and he'll look to extend his touchdown streak versus the vulnerable Tiger-Cats secondary in Week 16.

September 22, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams totaled seven receptions for 195 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 29-9 win over the Redblacks.

Adams benefitted from Weston Dressler's early exit due to an upper-body injury, as he became Matt Nichols' top target on the night. The 27-year-old has maintained a strong presence in the Bombers' passing attack throughout the season, and he's now posted at least five receptions in eight of the last nine contests. Adams remains a solid option each week and could have a major role again in Week 15 in a potential shootout against the Eskimos, particularly if Dressler remains sidelined.

September 10, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams caught a team-high six passes for 62 yards in Saturday's 48-28 win over the Roughriders.

He's now got 58 catches and 766 receiving yards on the season, good for seventh and sixth in the CFL in those respective categories. Adams is now just 74 yards shy of setting a new career high, a feat he could accomplish in the Bombers' next game at home against the Redblacks on Sept. 22.

August 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams caught five passes for a team-high 88 yards while adding a two-point conversion in Thursday's 34-31 overtime win over the Alouettes.

He's caught at least four passes in every game this season, and Adams' consistency now has him fourth in the CFL in receiving yards with 647. His chemistry with QB Matt Nichols should allow him to be just as productive in the second half as the 27-year-old continues his breakout campaign.

August 18, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams caught eight passes for 90 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 33-26 win over Edmonton.

His career high is six TDs, a mark he reached each of the last two years, but Adams seems poised to blow past it with five scores through eight games to begin 2017. As Matt Nichols' top wide receiver in what has become a dangerous Winnipeg offense, Adams is well on his way to a career-best campaign.

August 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams totaled 83 yards and a touchdown on six receptions in Saturday's 39-12 win over the Ti-Cats.

Adams' 35-yard scoring grab with 7:45 remaining extended the Bombers' lead to 31-12 and served as his fourth touchdown overall on the season. The 27-year-old has no less than four receptions in any game this season and has between 83 and 91 yards receiving in three of his last four contests. Adams continues to have a prominent role in the Winnipeg offense, especially while Weston Dressler (lower body) remains sidelined. He'll look to put together another strong outing against the Eskimos next Thursday.

July 28, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams caught six passes for 91 yards in Thursday's 41-40 win over the Alouettes.

He led all Bombers wideouts in receiving yards in an incredible comeback win. Weston Dressler left Thursday's game in the first half with a lower-body injury, and if the issue proves to be a serious one, Adams could be in line for an expanded role next week in Ottawa.

July 22, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams caught five passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns in Friday's 45-42 loss to the Lions.

The second TD grab was a spectacular one-handed effort on what appeared to be an overthrown ball from Matt Nichols. Now in his fifth CFL season, Adams was on pace for his first 1,000-yard campaign in 2016 before injuring his arm and playing in only eight games. If he can stay healthy this year, he should be able to set career highs across the board as one of Nichols' key targets in a dangerous, if inconsistent, Winnipeg passing attack.

July 13, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams caught four passes for 35 yards in Thursday's 33-25 win over the Argos.

After a solid performance in Winnipeg's opener, Adams has managed nine catches for just 82 yards over the last two games. The 27-year-old has been Matt Nichols' second most productive target so far behind Weston Dressler, however, and if opposition defenses begin to clamp down on Dressler, Adams could get a chance at bigger numbers.

July 1, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams totaled 77 yards and a touchdown on five receptions in Saturday's 43-40 overtime win over the Roughriders.

Adams got his 2017 campaign off to a strong start following an impressive preseason finale in which he'd gathered in five receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown. After playing in just eight regular-season games last season but managing 100-yard efforts in half of them, the ceiling for the former Auburn Tiger is significant. Adams also continues to demonstrate a knack for getting into the end zone, as he notched six scores in 2016 and brought in a 31-yard touchdown late in the first half Saturday. He'll look to build on his opening-game success when the Bombers do battle with the Stamps in Week 3.

June 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams caught five passes for 68 yards and a touchdown in the Blue Bombers' preseason finale Thursday.

Injuries limited Adams to just eight regular-season games a year ago, but he is healthy heading into Week 1. He reached the end zone six times last year and also topped the 100-yard mark four times, so he should have a chance to top 1,000 yards for the first time in 2017 if he can stay on the field.

November 5, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams totaled 100 yards and two touchdowns on six receptions in Friday's 33-20 win over the Redblacks.

Adams has made quite the splash since his return from an arm injury, amassing 15 receptions for 187 yards and three scores in his first two games. Factoring in his pair of scores Friday, he's now equaled the amount of touchdown receptions (six) that he posted last season in exactly half the games (eight). His big-play presence, evidenced in large part by his tally of four 100-yard efforts in eight contests this season, certainly figures to play a key role in the Blue Bombers' playoff push.

October 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams caught nine passes for 87 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's loss to the Redblacks.

It was a fantastic return to action for Adams, who'd been out since Week 6 with an arm injury. Look for him to see a large role in the Winnipeg passing game in the final game of the regular season Friday in Ottawa.

October 28, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams (arm) will start Saturday's game against the Redblacks.

Adams returned to practice earlier this week, and he will take the field Saturday for the first time since Week 6. He will replace Tori Gurley in the lineup and could immediately factor into the offense, having totaled 503 yards and topping the 100-yard mark three times over six games earlier this season.

October 25, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams (arm) practiced Tuesday, Ed Tait of the Blue Bombers reports.

Adams has been sidelined since Week 6, but as was reported earlier this month, it appears he will be able to return to action following the Blue Bombers' Week 18 bye. Adams totaled 503 yards and three scores over six games earlier this season, so he could provide a healthy late-season boost to a Winnipeg team that is looking to advance to the postseason.

October 4, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams (arm) could return to action following the Blue Bombers' Week 18 bye, Darrin Bauming of TSN 1290 reports.

It appears Adams will miss a few more weeks due to his arm injury, but he will have a chance to get back on the field before the regular season comes to a close.

August 2, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams (arm) was placed on the six-game injured list.

Adams and fellow receiver Weston Dressler (lower body) were both injured in Thursday's game. He won't be able to return until September 24, when the Blue Bombers face the Calgary Stampeders.

July 29, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams is facing a long-term absence due to the arm injury he suffered Thursday, TSN's Gary Lawless reports.

It's still not clear how long Adams will be sidelined with his injury, but a "long-term" absence means he will be sidelined at least several weeks. Fellow receiver Weston Dressler (lower body) was also injured in Thursday's game, so the Blue Bombers could be without their top two receivers for at least a week, and potentially longer.

July 29, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams was spotted with his arm in a sling following Thursday's victory over the Eskimos, Kirk Penton of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

The extent of Adams' setback is not certain, but it leaves his status for next week's game against the Tiger-Cats in doubt. Adams recorded over 100 receiving yards in each of his last two games, so his absence would certainly be felt if he is unable to take the field next week.

July 29, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams totaled 121 yards and a touchdown on 10 catches in Thursday's 30-23 victory over the Eskimos.

The Auburn product's involvement went up exponentially after Winston Dressler's in-game leg injury, and he responded with a season high in both catches and yards. The 26-year-old got wide open on his one touchdown, running free into the end zone to haul in a 20-yard missle from quarterback Matt Nichols in the third quarter to extend the Blue Bombers' lead back to 17 at that time. The performance was Adams' second straight 100-yard effort, and third overall on the season. If Dressler's injury keeps him sidelined for Winnepeg's Week 7 tilt versus the Ti-Cats, Adams should considerably benefit once again.

July 22, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams caught seven passes for 109 yards in Thursday's loss to the Stampeders.

He's off to a good start to the season, catching 26 passes for 382 yards and two TDs through five games, putting Adams well on pace for the first 1000-yard season of his career. Winnipeg's got a bit of a quarterback controversy brewing at the moment, but regardless of whether Drew Willy or Matt Nichols is under center, Adams should remain their top downfield weapon.

July 15, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams secured three catches for 38 yards in Thursday's 20-16 loss to the Eskimos.

The 26-year-old turned in a modest but efficient performance, although it was his least productive to date overall. Adams got the season started with a 100-yard game against the Als, and followed up with 11 catches for 130 yards and a touchdown over the subsequent two contests. Despite the quiet game Thursday, the Auburn product is still on pace towards surpassing the career-best 61 receptions and 839 yards he amassed in a breakout 2015, although Weston Dressler's increasing involvement could eat into Adams' targets as the season unfolds.

July 2, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams caught seven passes for 62 yards and a touchdown in Friday's loss to the Stampeders.

Once again Adams hooked up with Drew Willy for a fourth-quarter touchdown as they tried to overcome a large deficit, a situation that's likely to become distressingly common for Blue Bombers' fans as the season progresses. As long as Winnipeg keeps having to air it out and make comeback attempts though, Adams' production should remain excellent.

June 25, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adams caught five passes for a game-high 105 yards in Friday's loss to the Alouettes, including a 63-yard TD pass from Drew Willy late in the fourth quarter.

The bomb gave Winnipeg a brief bit of hope, but they weren't able to complete the comeback. Adams is looking to take his game to the next level after catching 61 passes for 839 yards and six scores last year, and his spot on the depth chart and ability to gain yards after the catch should allow him to challenge the 1000-yard mark in 2016.
