Cody Fajardo
QuarterbackQB
Strikes deal with Saskatchewan
QBSaskatchewan
February 26, 2019
Fajardo signed a one-year contract Feb. 14 with the Roughriders, Murray McCormick of the Regina Leader-Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Fajardo is a three-year CFL veteran who spent the 2018 campaign with the Lions after opening his career in Canada with the Argonauts in 2016. With the Saskatchewan having already addressed their quarterback situation with the re-signing of Zach Callaros, Fajardo should settle in as the top backup. Given Callaros' sketchy track record on the health front, it wouldn't be surprising if Fajardo started at some point in 2019.
