Splits work in return
RBEdmonton
November 17, 2021
Wilder (ankle) rushed nine times for 56 yards and brought in his only target for two yards in the Elks' 13-7 win over the Argonauts on Tuesday night.
ANALYSIS
Wilder's yardage total paced the Elks but was only one greater than that of Walter Fletcher, who also outpaced Wilder by a pair of rush attempts. The backfield split was very atypical after Wilder served as the clear lead back throughout the season, but Fletcher earned the expanded role after showing well in the last two games while the veteran sat out with an ankle injury. With Edmonton playing its regular-season finale on the road against the Lions in just three days, it's highly likely there's another timeshare at play in that contest.
