Fajardo attempted to rally the Elks down the stretch run of the season to a long-odds postseason spot, and although that quest came to an end with the loss, the veteran signal-caller put together a serviceable fantasy performance. Fajardo's ball-security issues ultimately led to Edmonton's demise, however, with his final interception coming just after the halfway point of the fourth quarter and leading to a Lions field goal and an early third-quarter throw getting returned for a pick-six as well. Fajardo did tack on a 15-yard scoring run with just under a minute remaining, but the game was essentially out of reach at that point. Fajardo has done an admirable job throughout most of the campaign and eclipsed 3,000 passing yards for the fourth consecutive season in the process, but it's possible Tre Ford draws for Friday night's season finale against the Stampeders with Edmonton now eliminated from postseason contention.
