Serviceable as Week 3 starter

June 22, 2025
Peterson rushed 11 times for 43 yards and brought in both targets for eight yards in the Blue Bombers' 27-14 win over the Lions on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
The Blue Bombers' No. 2 back was pushed to the forefront Saturday with both Brady Oliveira (shoulder) and Peyton Logan (thigh) unavailable. Peterson was nowhere near as productive as he had been in emergency lead-back duty in Week 2 after Oliveira went down, but he still offered some solid runs and took advantage of both his opportunities as a receiver. Rookie Quinton Cooley also looked sharp as a complementary option while gaining 43 yards on seven carries, so the duo could be in for a similar workload split in Week 4's Thursday night home matchup versus the Elks if neither of their injured teammates are ready to return on the short week.
