Shiltz completed 22 of 32 passes for 205 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions and rushed three times for six yards in the Redblacks' 39-18 loss to the Alouettes on Friday night.
ANALYSIS
Shiltz was filling in for Dru Brown (finger) in Friday's contest, but his slow start and three interceptions proved too much to overcome. The journeyman signal-caller could only lead Ottawa to three first-half points, although he did a good job of spreading the ball around by hitting seven different targets. Shiltz has experience but clear limitations as well, so the Redblacks will clearly be in a better position if Brown is available for a Week 3 road matchup against the Stampeders next Saturday afternoon.
