Ward rushed nine times for 60 yards in Friday's 30-23 preseason loss to Toronto. He also caught four of five targets for 21 yards.

ANALYSIS
Ward racked up at least 60 yards in his two outings in the preseason and tallied 136 yards on 17 carries. He seems to have shown enough to warrant a role in the roster for the start of the regular season. The Tiger-Cats will open the campaign on the road against Calgary on Saturday, June 7.
