Arndt signed a contract with the Lions on Thursday.

The RedBlacks cut Arndt on Thursday.

Arndt will lose the starting quarterback job for the final game of the season Friday against Montreal, AJ Jakubec of TSN Radio 1200 reports.

Arndt completed 17 of 30 passes for 112 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and netted zero yards on his two rushes in the Redblacks' 33-12 loss to the Tiger-Cats on Saturday. He also lost a fumble.

Arndt completed 28-of-42 passing attempts for 288 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in Friday's 28-21 loss to Toronto. He added three carries for five yards.
