Pickett was a promising recruit for Maryland last year, but he mostly fell on his face as a true freshman, averaging just 3.7 yards per carry while running for 274 yards and one touchdown. He also averaged just 4.9 yards per reception on 10 catches. That lack of explosiveness is concerning, because Pickett was supposed to be one of last year's fastest recruits.
