Aaron Philo News: Nears 400 yards passing in win

Philo completed 21 of 28 passes for 373 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 59-12 win versus Gardner-Webb.

Philo was solid in relief of Haynes King (lower body), who isn't expected to miss significant time. Against an FCS foe in Gardner-Webb, Philo had no issue tossing for almost 400 yards on an even 75 percent completion. It's unclear if King will be ready to roll against Clemson in Week 3, but playing the Tigers' stout defense will be a more accurate reflection of what Philo is really made of.
