Abu Sama News: Double-digit carries in win

Sama logged 14 carries for 43 yards during Saturday's 24-21 win over Kansas State.

Sama and teammate Carson Hansen shared 30 carries for a combined 114 yards. It was a sloppy day on the pitch in Ireland, most evident when Sama fumbled a carry near the end-zone early in the game. Overall, Sama was less effective with the ball at 3.1 yards per carry compared to Hansen's 4.4 yards per carry. It's expected that both backs will see the field against South Dakota, but it does appear that Hansen has the early lead atop the depth chart.
