Abu Sama News: Likely to split carries again

Sama and Carson Hansen are expected to continue sharing carries during Iowa State's 2025 season, Rob Gray of The Gazette reports.

Back in 2024, the Sama-Hansen duo brilliantly defined Iowa State's backfield, which is expected to be revived for 2025. The downside for Sama is that he once again will have a cap to his production's ceiling. But in 2024, Sama logged 124 carries for 587 yards and two touchdowns. Going into 2025, he is one of the FBS' most promising non-No. 1 running backs.
