Abu Sama News: Listed as RB2

Sama is listed as the Cyclones' secondary running back for their game Saturday at Kansas State, Eugene Rapay of The Des Moines Register reports.

For the 2025 Cyclones' first game, their depth chart does not include a running back "or" between Sama and Carson Hansen, the latter at No. 1. Even though the former is No. 2, that was said case last season, and they both excelled nonetheless. During 2024, Sama logged 124 carries for 587 yards (4.7 averaged per carry) and two touchdowns.
