Arrington Maiden News: Will not start Week 1

Maiden will not be Memphis' starting quarterback against UT-Chattanooga on Aug. 30, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.

Even though Memphis' spring game saw Maiden standing out, the Tigers have a much more proven option under center in Brendon Lewis, and they will go that route. The former will have to hope for backup duties, though AJ Hill will provide competition on that front.
