Ashtyn Hawkins News: Three catches Saturday

Hawkins recorded three receptions (on six targets) for 42 yards during Saturday's 42-7 win over Samford.

Hawkins, who caught 10 passes for 145 yards last week, came back down to earth Saturday versus Samford. He was targeted six times for the third straight game but caught just three passes for 42 yards which still lead the team. Quarterback Sawyer Robertson spread the ball around and did not play great against the FCS opponent, and Hawkins snaps were down presumably to give other receivers a chance to play. Hawkins begins conference play Saturday with a clash with Arizona State.
