Bachmeier is trending to become BYU's starting quarterback, On3 Sports reports.

Bachmeier currently has the upper hand over McCae Hillstead for the Cougars' QB1 role with a little over two weeks until the team's season opener. Though there is still time for the starter to be named, Bachmeier looks to have outplayed Hillstead so far in fall camp.
