Brendan Sullivan Injury: Status remains uncertain for Week 1

Sullivan (foot) practiced Tuesday, but his availability for Week 1 against Northwestern remains uncertain, per Nola.com.

Sullivan's return to the practice field is obviously a good sign, although his status remains uncertain for the opener against Northwestern. He's been competing with ex-BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff for the starting gig, although Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall said he won't name a starter until, quite literally, the minute before kickoff. Thus, we may not even find out if Sullivan is fully healthy by Saturday if Retzlaff is the starter.
