Cade Klubnik Injury: Will be game-time decision

Klubnik (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's game against SMU, Pete Nakos of On3.com reports. However, there's a general feeling of pessimism surrounding his status, per Pete Thamel of ESPN.com.

Klubnik's official availability will not be known until Saturday, and the availability may still be on the fence ahead of warmups. In his last game against SMU, which helped Clemson qualify for the 2024 College Football Playoff, he logged 24 completed passes for 262 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions. Unlike that matchup, Clemson is at home, an advantage that may help the currently inconsistent quarterback get back on track.
