Cam Edwards News: Air game limits rushing

Edwards led UConn on the ground, but he ran for only 57 yards on 12 carries as the Huskies were throwing the ball on Saturday in the 38-23 win over Boston College.

UConn went the passing route against the Eagles with 362 yards through the air. Edwards caught a pair of passes for 11 yards. Despite the limited production, the redshirt junior has had a career best in leading the Huskies running game. For the season Edwards has accumulated 694 rushing yards on 113 attempts and seven touchdowns. He could have an improved day this Saturday, Oct. 25 against Rice. The Owls defense against the run is in the middle of the nation.
