Bowens recorded 11 carries for 56 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 28-6 victory versus Austin Peay.
Bowens seemingly is in a battle with Dwight Phillips Jr. for second string duties behind Nate Frazier. Bowens received 11 carries to Phillips 7 while slightly outpacing Phillips 56 to 55. However Bowens found the endzone twice while Phillips did not.
