CJ Carr News: Falling behind in position battle

Fellow quarterback Kenny Minchey has reportedly taken a slight lead over Carr in the battle for Notre Dame's starting quarterback spot, per Pete Nakos of On3.com.

Though Minchey appears to have taken the lead in the position battle, Carr reportedly still has time to catch up and earn the starting job heading into the team's season opener against Miami. Despite being a highly rated recruit coming in, Carr had an uphill battle ahead of him as a freshman going up against a more experienced opponent. The remaining practices and scrimmages in fall camp will be essential for Carr if he is to earn the starting job.
