CJ Carr News: Improved in second start

Carr completed 20-of-32 pass attempts for 293 yards and a touchdown in the 41-40 loss to Texas A&M on Saturday.

Despite an interception and two sacks, Carr put the Irish in a position to at least send the game into overtime, but a botched point after did in Notre Dame. The redshirt freshman takes on Purdue on Saturday, Sept. 20 with a must win on the line. The Boilermakers pass defense is in the top 50 in the nation this season, but Purdue gave up 282 yards in the air last week to USC.
