David Wells News: Hits paydirt in defeat

Wells only made two catches for 32 yards, but only one of those was for positive yards, a 34-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter in Oregon State's 36-27 defeat at the hands of Fresno State on Saturday.

It was the redshirt-sophomore's only second career touchdown. It came at a great time with less than 90 seconds in the game against Fresno State that gave the Bears a 27-26 lead. Oregon State travels to Texas Tech on Saturday, Sept. 13. The Red Raiders defense is 13th in the country against the run, but they have faced weak competition. Last season, Texas Tech's defense was in the middle of the country against the run.
