Dylan Edwards Injury: Uncertain for Week 1

Edwards' (ankle) X-rays came back negative but it remains unclear if the tailback will suit up for Week 1 against North Dakota, per Kellis Robinett of The Wichita Eagle.

Edwards didn't log a carry in the Week 0 loss to Iowa State in Dublin. He muffed a punt and proceeded to be taken out of the game, not to return to action. This is overall good news for the tailback, as it doesn't sound like the injury will be long-term. Still, with his status unclear for Week 2, it sounds like Joe Jackson could lead the Wildcats' backfield once again.
