Elijah Brown News: Loses out on starting gig

Brown lost out on Stanford's starting quarterback gig to Ben Gulbranson, per ESPN.

Brown had a rocky season with Stanford last fall, tossing for 274 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions while completing 58.3 percent of his passes. He was in competition with Gulbranson this offseason, but he's lost out to the Oregon State transfer who tossed for 943 yards and four scores in four games for the Beavers last fall. Brown figures to be the primary backup in Palo Alto.
