Mendoza was 20-for-31 passing for 215 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 30-20 victory versus Oregon. He also had six rushes for 31 yards.

While his numbers were unspectacular on the day, Mendoza did what he needed to do to get the win over the Ducks. The 6-foot-5 quarterback found the end zone on an eight-yard strike to receiver Elijah Sarratt in the fourth quarter, giving the Hoosiers their final lead of the afternoon. Mendoza has played himself and the Hoosiers into the national spotlight and will have an opportunity to boost his stats against a vulnerable Michigan State defense on Saturday.
