Gavin Wimsatt News: Struggles in first JSU start
Wimsatt went 15-for-29 for 139 yards and an interception against UCF on Thursday. He also ran 13 times for 28 yards.
Unsurprisingly, Rich Rodriguez leaving for West Virginia led to a lot of changes on the JSU roster. Wimsatt, a transfer who previously played at Rutgers and Kentucky, won the gig. This wasn't a great start, though, which could get the quarterback battle percolating. Wimsatt will likely get the chance to start in Week 2 against Liberty, though.
