Gevani McCoy News: Likely Week 1 backup

McCoy looks to be the backup option under center ahead of Temple's Week 1 opener against UMass, 247Sports.com reports.

McCoy did not take any first-team reps during warmups as it appears that Evan Simon will be the Owls' starter against UMass following an offseason quarterback competition. The 6-foot graduate transfer from Oregon State will look to stay ready in case his number is called in the contest.
