Grayson James News: Loses starting position

James has lost the Eagles' starting position going into their game against Fordham on Aug. 30, Pete Thamel of ESPN reports.

James and Dylan Lonergan, an Alabama transfer, competed to be Boston College's quarterback. Despite the former's previous experience under center, it is the latter who will start Week 1. During 2024, James logged 1,202 passing yards and almost 10 touchdowns, which he may surpass only if Lonergan either becomes unavailable or struggles sometime down the stretch.
