Smothers accrued 24 rushes for 164 yards and gathered in all four targets for negative one yard during Thursday's 34-24 win against Wake Forest.

Smothers ran for at least 140 yards for a second straight game, logging a season-high 24 carries. He tied his season-best reception total as well. His efforts didn't yield a touchdown, though, marking his first game without a score this season. Through three contests, Smothers has rushed for 380 yards and three touchdowns with 10 receptions for 42 yards.
