Smothers notched eight carries for 86 yards and one touchdown and caught 3 of 5 targets for 25 yards during Saturday's 53-34 loss against Pittsburgh.

Smothers saw a reduced workload for a third straight game, receiving just 11 touches Saturday. He made the most of his opportunities, though, averaging 10 yards per touch. Smothers saw 16 touches in Week 7 and six touches in Week 6. He had received at least 19 touches in every game before Week 6. Blowouts have been the primary reason for Smothers' decreased involvement. On the year, Smothers has 825 rushing yards, six rushing touchdowns, 28 receptions, 170 receiving yards and one touchdown.
