Jam Miller Injury: Out for Week 1

Miller (upper body) is out for Alabama's upcoming game at Florida State on Aug. 30, Alex Scarborough of 247Sports.com reports.

During the Alabama team's latest scrimmage, Miller suffered a upper-body injury, which indicates why he is unavailable at Florida State. Unfortunately, he may sit out a while. According to Mike Rodak of 247Sports, Miller underwent surgery Saturday, and his return timetable remains unknown. Without him available, the Tide must turn to at least one of their other options. At the running back position, Richard Young, Daniel Hill and Dre Washington logged most of Alabama's backup reps.
