Jayden Gibson Injury: Sidelined for season opener

Gibson (knee) will not appear in Saturday's opener against Illinois State, Jesse Crittenden of On3.com reports.

Gibson, who missed the entire 2024 season with a knee injury, will remain sidelined as the Sooners open the 2025 season against Illinois State. The 6-foot-5 redshirt junior last saw the field in 2023, totaling 14 receptions for 375 yards and five touchdowns. Gibson's status moving forward remains uncertain.
