Jayden Maiava News: Shines before early exit
Maiava was 15-for-18 passing for 295 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 73-13 victory versus Missouri State. He also had two rushes for nine yards with one touchdown.
Maiava and the rest of the first-string offense flexed their offensive muscle and powered the team to a 42-7 lead at the half. Most of the starters left the field for the second half of the game, but Maiava's production was better than most quarterbacks who played four quarters over the weekend. Although Maiava is in no immediate danger, the fans oohed and ahhed over Husan Longstreet, a five-star recruit who put on a clinic against Missouri State's defense.
