Savoury stood out in Saturday's practice and could have a larger role in the offense if Jack Velling misses time with a foot injury, the Lansing State Journal reports.

Savoury is a 6-foot-4, 240-pound true freshman who is competing with Brennan Parachek and Michael Masaunus for the No. 2 TE role behind Velling.
