Jeff Sims News: Solid in relief

Sims was 6-for-11 passing for 58 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 24-16 defeat against Houston.

Sims briefly took over the offense in the first quarter when Sam Leavitt went to the locker room, but Leavitt was able to come back for the following drive. Sims also led the final two drives of the game, but it's unclear if he came in due to a Leavitt injury or because Leavitt was not performing well. Sims led a touchdown drive in the fourth quarter to cut the lead to eight, then had a chance to go down and tie the game in a two-minute drill but the offense stalled in four plays.
