Jeremy Payne News: Impressive performance as starter

Payne totaled 12 carries for 53 yards and caught 3 of 5 targets for 29 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 35-24 win versus Southern Methodist.

Payne impressed in place of the injured starter Kevorian Barnes. He recorded his first touchdown of the year on a season-high 15 touches out of the backfield. It's worth noting that Trent Battle has also been impressive on limited work while averaging 9.0 yards per carry this season. With that said, Payne did enough to keep working out of the backfield and is worth a fantasy consideration if Barnes continues to miss time. TCU will play at Arizona State next week.
