J'Koby Williams News: Will be listed as co-starter

Williams will be listed as a co-starter in the backfield ahead of the Aug. 30 game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, according to Ty Kaplan of The Dallas Morning News.

The Red Raiders lost Quinten Joyner (knee) for the entire season, meaning Williams and Cameron Dickey will split the workload in the backfield -- at least in the opening weeks of the campaign. Williams ran for 236 yards and two scores on 41 carries in 2024, but he should experience a massive increase in his workload going forward.
