J'Koby Williams News: Workload trending upwards
Williams is slated to see more snaps and carries this fall with the news that Quinten Joyner (knee) will miss the entire season, per the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.
Williams could be the de facto No. 1 running back in Lubbock at this point, although it's important to note that Cameron Dickey is also in the fold. Last season, he ran for 236 yards and two scores on 41 carries (5.8 yards-per-carry). Both backs figure to see plenty of work in Joyner's absence.
