Josiah Jefferson Injury: Waiting on eligibility update

Jefferson (not injury related) is waiting to hear an update on his eligibility for the coming season, per Josh Furlong of KSL News Salt Lake City.

Jefferson joined the Utes in the offseason as a JUCO transfer. The 6-foot-5 tight end was originally expected to arrive in 2026 but reclassified to the 2025 class, leading to the issue with his eligibility. If his eligibility issues can be resolved Jefferson will be able to contribute for Utah this season, but his status will be worth monitoring until then.
