Julian Dugger News: Contending for starting spot
Dugger, Zevi Eckhaus and Jaxon Potter will compete during practice this week for the starting quarterback job for Saturday's game against Washington, Greg Woods of The Spokane Spokesman-Review reports.
Potter served as the starter in each of the Cougars' first three games, but after throwing three interceptions during a Week 3 loss to North Texas, the door is open for Dugger or Eckhaus to take over atop the depth chart. Dugger, a redshirt freshman, spent his first collegiate season at Pitt. He appeared in one game, going 7-for-13 for 72 yards and a 2:1 TD:INT while adding 88 rushing yards and a score on the ground.
